A low VOC alkaline cleaning agent designed to dissolve Flexographic inks and thoroughly clean inking units and varnish chambers.  Can be used on most water based, UV and solvent materials. Can be used neat or diluted with water for less stubborn deposits.

Properties

• Water miscible so can be diluted where required for further economy of use
• Flashpoint >100°C
• Excellent solvency on a variety of ink types
• Multi-functional – can be used on damper covers, rollers, blankets, aniloxes, press frames etc
• Suitable for contact with most flexographic plate materials

Method of Use

Use neat on blankets and rollers. For manual use apply with a lint free cloth. For automatic use consult manufacturers guidelines. Finish with water and allow to dry before commencing printing.

Can be diluted for economy of use with water, and should be mixed 1:5 with water for use on press frames etc. Different ratios of mixing may be advisable depending on how stubborn the dirt is.

Do not allow alkaline chemicals to soak on metallic press parts for too long – always wash on and wash off immediately, making sure to rinse with water after. Some metals are prone to alkali attack if submerged for too long a period of time.

Always test suitability to various pressroom equipment initially on small discrete areas to check compatibility.

Suitable for most modern day machines including manufacturers such as Heidelberg, KBA, Man Roland, Ryobi, Komori and Mitsubishi presses.

Storage and Shelf Life

Store solvents safely within the printing environment to allow them to acclimatize to pressroom conditions – working temperatures will affect evaporation speed of solvents and hence can influence their effectiveness. Consult own company risk assessment and fire risk assessment for guidance on suitable storage containers depending on properties of the chemical.

If left unopened and kept in the correct conditions this product has a recommended shelf life of 12 months.
