Kent-based company Elvis & Kresse combines the compressible layer of used Trelleborg blankets from BFS customers with decommissioned firehoses from the London Fire Brigade to produce high-end luxury goods such as briefcases, overnight bags, wallets, and belts.
Fifty percent of the profits generated from the revenue of the upcycled goods, produced at Elvis & Kresse are then donated to charity. So far this year they have donated nearly £100,000.
This year, the company announced that they were one of just 226 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for their excellence in Sustainable Development.
Not all BFS blankets are suitable for Elvis & Kresse. Just call us on 01189 930 5999 to check before sending.
