A brief company summary

BFS was Launched by John and Carol Hope and originally sold Rollin printing blankets to business forms and envelope printers. Their son, Robin Hope, joined his parents in the business a year later, followed eventually by their daughter and son-in-law as well as Robin’s wife.

In 1999, having diversified into heatset, coldset, sheetfed and packaging, BFS rebranded as bfs Pressroom Solutions to better reflect its evolved position within the printing industry. The company acquired an ink mixing business in the South East in 2002 and in 2007 acquired a rubber roller factory in Suffolk. A year later BFS became the sole license for Westland Rollers in th UK.

Thirty years on, bfs employs around 50 people across two sites manufacturing rollers, converting tension blankets, supplying chemistry, inks and various consumables for the pressroom, representing leading brands such as Rollin, Westland, Prisco, PCO, Siegwerk, Vulcan, Printgraph, Kruse, Contitech, Fujikura and FlexoConcepts.
